Alison St. Germain, a Registered Dietitian, is an Associate Professor of Clinical Practice at Iowa State University in the department of Food Science Human Nutrition and owner of St. Germain Consulting: Redefining Health—Nutrition for ALL Bodies, LLC. She is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, a Health For Every Body® Facilitator and Certified Craving Change™ Facilitator. St. Germain is also a faculty advisor for dietetic undergraduates. She is a member of the Eating Disorder Coalition of Iowa and actively participates in their fundraising and awareness events. St. Germain is active in the Iowa Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has been on the board and council as the Council on Professional Issues Chair, Media Spokesperson and chair of the taskforce Establishing Relationships with Healthcare Professionals and currently is President Elect. St.Germain is passionate about Health at Every Size®, Body Respect & Liberation, and spreading awareness and prevention of eating disorders. She has two daughters, which lead to her passion of promoting weight inclusivity and anti-diet approaches and speaking regularly at professional conferences, the community, middle and high school classes, college undergraduates and postgraduates.
