Erin is a dietitian and Clinical Professor with Iowa State University’s Food Science and Human Nutrition Department, teaching in the Master of Professional Practice program. She is the coordinator for the international community rotation in Ghana, Africa. She also participates in the sustainable food systems rotation in Paris, France and is the Global Member Interest Group’s Nominating Committee Chair for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has won numerous awards for her international rotations with dietetics students. She is active within Hunger and Environmental Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group and was a member of the workgroup that developed the Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists in Sustainable, Resilient and Healthy Food and Water Systems. She was also a co-lead in developing the dietetic internship concentration in Sustainable, Resilient and Healthy Food and Water Systems which is now available on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation website. She is pursuing her doctoral degree in Agricultural Education at Iowa State University, with a focus on teaching sustainable food systems in dietetics education. She is Vice-Chair for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Council on Future Practice.
